Seeking a dependable host is one of the most difficult challenges we face when blogging.

For bloggers like us, a bad host can cause havoc, which is why we need a high-quality web host to host our site. Today, I'll share my thoughts on the HostGator Baby plan, which I use to host a couple of my tech blogs.

I was apprehensive at first, but thanks to HostGator's strong servers and the combination of Cloudflare and WP Rocket, my sites on Hostgator are performing admirably.

HostGator Review & Feature List

Hatchling, Kid, and Business are the three shared hosting plans offered by Hostgator.
  • Hatchling is a single-domain hosting plan.
  • The Baby plan allows you to host several domains.
  • A business plan includes hosting for multiple domains as well as features such as SSL and dedicated IP addresses.
If you only need hosting for a single domain, you can always go with the Hatchling package, which is just as nice but only allows you to host one website. This strategy is perfect when you're first starting out, but as time goes by, everybody needs to add more websites.

The Hostgator Baby plan includes cPanel, unlimited space, unlimited bandwidth, free $100 AdWords credit, WordPress compatibility, site creator, free setup, unlimited add-on domains, unlimited FTP, unlimited databases, Ruby on Rails, SSH, PHP7, Quick CGI, and other features.

The Baby plan has everything you need for a standard WordPress blog. Previously, I used the Kinsta panel, which is a custom one, but Hostgator now offers the regular cPanel, which allows you to view your server load and traffic from the cPanel dashboard.

Quick Feature list

  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Unlimited Storage
  • Unlimited addon domain
  • IP deny Manager ( Security)
  • Unlimited FTP Free SSL Unlimited MySql database
  • Hotlink Protection (Security)
  • 24*7 Customer Support
  • 45 Days money-back guarantee
  • Ruby on Rails
  • Fantastico Cron Jobs Automatic Backup
  • 99.99% uptime
The list goes on and on. I originally mistook it for a marketing stunt, but it isn't. I'll include some screenshots of the Hostgator cPanel Dashboard to help you understand what HostGator has to offer.

Monitoring Running processes and visits from inside the panel are some of my favorite features. We can better monitor the success of our blogs this way. Their chat and phone support are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can reach Hostgator at any time by dialing 1-866-96-GATOR.

The Error logs feature in cPanel is also useful if you want to keep your website clear of bugs, and you can use the hotlinking feature to prevent anyone from stealing your photos.

Which Hostgator plan is right for you?

In a nutshell, all shared hosting arrangements are as follows:
  • Hatchling (4.45$/mo) is ideal for a single blog.
  • Baby Plan (6.95/mo): Ideal for several blogs
  • Multiple Blogs + Private IP + Toll-free Number (12.95$/mo) for Business
I recommend the Baby hosting package for you because you can add Private I.P. for just $2/month and you will never need the toll-free number with their Live Chat service.

Hostgator Baby Plan Pricing

You can save 30% on your total bill with our most famous coupon, "ShoutMeLoud30." To save the most money, I recommend purchasing hosting for a period of two to three years (since hosting discount is applicable only on the first bill). Before the discount, here is the price of the Baby plan:

You can purchase hosting for a monthly, quarterly, yearly, 24, or 36-month period. You can save 30% on your final bill by using this unique HostGator Discount voucher. With a 30% discount coupon (ShoutMeLoud30), you will get a year of hosting for $89.55 instead of $119.40. Similarly, you can use the Baby plan discount code to get a better deal on a 2-year or 3-year plan.

So far, my experience with them has been fantastic, and I hope that this analysis of the Baby plan will assist you in deciding which hosting option is best for you. Here's a screenshot of the latest Hostgator cPanel:

My personal preference is the Baby plan, but if you need a Private I.P. with a Toll-free number for SEO purposes, the Business plan is the way to go. A video demonstrating how to use the coupon can be found here.
